Literary Jazz Cafe

Literary Jazz

The Arts and Letters Committee has sponsored the Literary Jazz Café since 1997.  This annual activity provides local artists a platform to showcase their talents. A variety of African-American artists participate in this event -authors, musicians, spoken word, rappers/poets, and visual artists. Artists not only have an opportunity to practice their craft, but also sell their art to the public.   The Literary Jazz Café serves as a wonderful venue to bring attention to new (and not so new) artists that reside in the Nashville community.  Furthermore, it has also increased the audience’s appreciation for different art forms.

For more information on these and other programs sponsored by the Nashville Metropolitan Alumnae Chapter, please contact us as or please see our Event Calendar for specific dates and times.

The Nashville Metropolitan Alumnae Chapter offers many programs intended to benefit those living within the chapter service areas, both young and old.
