Welcome to the official website of the Nashville Metro Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated. I am Sharon Hurt, NMAC’s current Chapter President.
Delta Sigma Theta was founded January 13, 1913 by 22 visionary and dynamic college-educated women on the campus of Howard University. In a time where African American women fought against racism, sexism and other injustices, these 22 women formed a collective bond that built the foundation of our sisterhood today.
Delta Sigma Theta is a nonprofit organization that focuses on uplifting and continually educating our community through economic development, educational development, international awareness and involvement, physical and mental health, and political awareness and involvement. The Nashville Metro Alumnae Chapter displays these initiatives regularly through our various programs and events.
On behalf of the Nashville Metro Alumnae Chapter, welcome and thank you for visiting!
